Hella Jongerius

Hella Jongerius has built up a very versatile portfolio over the years. Lots of ceramics (for brands such as Koninklijk Tichelaar Makkem and Ikea), but also modern chairs, couches and stools (including Kettal, Vitra and Droog). Her designs and products have been exhibited in various prestigious museums around the world and in 2010 she even had her own "misfit" exhibition at Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Jongerius came up with Misfit as she does not strive for nor believes in perfection. This is one of the reasons why her work is so exciting and controversial. Despite the fact that Jongerius does not seek perfection, her products have a perfect finish and are taken care of in great detail.
